This was my first moose hunt and my first trip to Newfoundland. Ray, his guides, and his cook were wonderful people who took great care of me and they will do the same for you. This was the BEST unsuccessful hunt I have ever been on and I've been on a late thanks to my job with Bowhunter Magazine. I came close twice and all I can chalk my unfilled tag up to is plain old bad luck. I hope to get back to Ray's sooner than later.

Weather Comments:
High winds definitely played a factor in getting close to moose, but on the upside, it was relatively dry for Newfoundland. In fact, I only donned the raingear twice.
