What can I say but awesome!!! This was my second year to hunt with Mike and my second year to take a buck. I was able to harvest 3 does as well, and out of 6 people we saw 15 shooter bucks. 4 of the 6 in camp harvested bucks on this trip. The food was wonderful and Mike is a sheer joy to be around. Even with poor weather Mike knows the deer herd and I was able to take my buck on the last 20 minutes of the last day of the last hunt. Without a doubt it was the best shot I have ever made, and I will never forget it. If you go to the Wide Rack make sure you ask Mike to show you his special technique for gutting a deer with 2 knives. I had the privilege of making the trip with 3 of my friends and they all said it was the most fun and the best hunting trip of their life. We had 2 other men in camp Mike and Kurt and I felt like they were family. Mike and Elana made us all feel like family, and we hope to make a week with Mike and Elana at the Wide Rack an annual pilgrimage. Our week at the Wide Rack is a trip we will never forget.
