I hunted Whiteway Plantation for the first time in 2010. I hunted several days in bow season but saw only does and small bucks. But opening weekend of rifle season, I shot a great 11-point whitetail that grossed 140-2/8". For Georgia, that is a monster!

Al and Paul White are great guys to hunt with and have lived and hunted on this property all their lives. They really know where the deer are. They have trophy managed this property for over 10 years and it shows. There were 3 or 4 other hunters in camp for the rifle opener but it did not feel crowded. They have 10,000 acres to hunt and that’s a lot of ground. No other hunters were there when I was bow hunting.

The Plantation is located about 90 minutes south of Atlanta. I live about 45 minutes away and just drove back and forth every day I was hunting. Since I didn’t lodge or eat at the camp, I can’t rate those facilities.

I have already scheduled 6 days of hunting in 2011. Can’t wait to get back to Whiteway Plantation and kill another wall-hanger.
