Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

Cobus Mouton, owner of Tshepe Safaris, and his gang of professional, knowledgeable, safari personnel were simply outstanding. This was my fourth trip to Africa and to say i was pleased would be an understatement. Cobus's properties are vast and support incredible numbers of animals. Even under really adverse hunting conditions, high winds and uncharacteristically cold weather (cold enough to make the deisel in his trucks turn to gel), we got our animals and had multiple opportunities to do so. In five days of hunting I was able to take four animals, three of which (Black Wildebeest, Nyala and Eland) were tremendous trophies. The fourth animal was also a Black Wildebeest and while a representative trophy I actually shot the wrong animal...my bad. Actually the only other animal I wanted was a Zebra and while I saw lots of them, I was never able to get a shot. Other trophy animal I could have taken had I wanted to were Springbok, Blesbuck, Gemsbuck, Waterbuck, Ostrich, Kudu and more.

My recommendation to anyone planning a South African Plains Game hunt would be to look seriously into hunting With Cobus Mouton and Tshepe Safaris. I would further recommend trying to plan the hunt during the dark of the moon in late July or August when the weather is more predictable and hopefully warmer. However, if you like to hunt in cold weather, June will work as well.

Cheers!
