I enjoyed the hunt immensely. The only draw-back was the rain. It rains a LOT in Washington and I was not used to that. But I would go back again.
Geat having a flatlander in camp but I guess parts of Ohio have as many hills as we do here by the coast. Glad to hear you are considering another hunt with us too. Next time maybe you'll hold out for more than 15 minutes (or was it seconds?) for a big boy! Since you mentioned rain.... everyone asks what type of special gear they might need. Since we're not concerened about terrain most boots will work. However.... not only would I suggest a good set of raingear.... Id say a second set could really make your trip more comfortable. This pertains to gun season really. Our September bowhunts are well before the rainy season in November. Tom shot a giant buck at the end of the year Ray. There's one waiting for you too. Take care and stay in touch.
It rained a LOT while I was there.
