IMB Outfitters

I have to admit, I saw the largest deer of my life during this trip, but can't say I was happy with my experience. There are way too many hunters in camp at one time. No food plots either. The outfitter purely utilizes the crops of the farmers. I went two and a half days without seeing a single deer. For some reason, the guide would not move us either. It wasn't until day four of a five day hunt that the guide changed farms. On the last morning, I saw the only shooter real shooter buck of the trip, which I couldn't shoot because there wasn't a shooting lane on the largest trail near the stand. A lot of young deer were shot (under 120") while I was there. They did kill some big deer this year, but I have a feeling the quality is only going to go down. They have too many hunters and take too many small deer. It wasn't until after we had booked that we caught all of the bad reviews about this outfitter. Darren made some excuse about an advertisement issue that made huntinfo work against. I don't believe it. Take the reviews seriously. After hunting with IMB, I haven't read one review that I couldn't believe to be true. One of the guys in my party did manage to harvest an excellent deer, so it wasn't a completely wasted trip but in the future, I will certainly try another outfitter.
