Hunter Comments

We showed up a couple hours early on check in day and outfitter was a jerk and stated he did not have time for us. Outfitter stated he only took 8 hunters, there were 9 in camp and another hunter not staying in the camp. Outfitter stated that "2 homestyle meals and a light lunch" would be provided. Only had a homestyle dinner(which was good), breakfast was cold cereal and toast which we made ourselves. Lunch was made by us also. Outfitter and guides would sit down to eat before the hunters. On one night they were eating while we gutted out a deer. Outfitter did not field dress 3 out of the 4 deer shot. Outfitter was also misleading about the accomadations.

Was the outfitter notified of problems? - NO

Outfitter's Response

In response to this report all i need to say is the client that wrote it must of been mistaken. To start off with his group of 4 rifle hunters which started off as 3, i was asked to accomodate the 4th guy at a later date, hence the extra man in camp, well the group arrived at our camp a FULL DAY before their arrival date ! Each client asks what time should we arrive in camp and everyone is told the exact same thing. Everyone of the 5 other clients came back to camp each day for a hot lunch prepared by the staff, they did not elect to sit in the stands all day. Dinner time was at 6 pm and each day the other 5 clients made it on time and sat down for dinner first, the group in question spent time going over videos of the bucks they saw each day and bsing. And every time a deer is harvested the client is asked if they want the staff to (gut) their animal, most refuse as they consider it part of the hunt experince and insulting. The only thing that i can remember that was spoken as being (misleading) was the inexperince of this hunter.
