This was my third trip to New Brunswick on a black bear hunt. It was evident from the beginning that Chase Outfitters was a great choice. It wasn't just that they worked hard to create opportunities for us to see bears (which we all did). Equally as important was their knowledge of bears and bear hunting. They have a lot of experience and freely shared what they knew with us.

The lodging accomodations were two very comfortable vacation cabins (more like homes) located in rural Baywater right on Grand Bay. We cooked our own meals and basically enjoyed all the conveniences of home when we weren't out hunting. When we needed something from a store or just felt like going into town, the village of Grand Bay-Westfield and the city of St. John were both short ferry trips away.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable week in every way. Goerge, Corey and Kate worked hard for us. They wanted us to get a bear just as much as we did! It's clear that they like what they do. And they're good people who are just plain nice to be around. I'm looking forward to returning.
