Booked a hunt with Timberland due to Lance Crowther's (outfitter)(LC on bowsite) posts and feedback on Bowsite. He convinced me to put in for Unit 7e since it was his back yard and he knew the herds very well there and it was a great decision. Lance and his guides are a very knowledgable and professional group with exceptional knowledge of this unit as well and many units in Arizona. The bugling was somewhat slow as it had been from the start of bow season but Lance was quick to switch tatics and adjust which successfully led me the my "bull of a lifetime". My hunting partner had ample opportunites but did not get it done. I believe all hunters in this archery season had shots on excellent bulls. Great accomodations and very good and plentiful food rounded out an exceptional experience with this outfitter and made Arizona archery elk worth the long draw wait. If you're considering an outfitter in AZ that works hard and knows his animals (not just elk) and terrain intimately then consider Lance and the Timberland group. You'll be glad you did.
