DO NOT BOOK A HUNT WITH SHERMAN CREEK OUTFITTERS. This hunt was so poor that 5 out of 11 hunters left after the 3rd day, knowing full well that no money would be refunded without legal action. The guides we were supposed to have quit the day before we arrived, and there wouldn't have been enough anyway. An ad was placed on Craigslist to replace them. My "guide" was a young man who had never bowhunted, or elk hunted. He took us out with no GPS,no compass, no water for himself, no knife, he had NOTHING but a poor electric call. He didn't know where the stands where, and just sent people walking to look for them. He got our group "turned around" 2 days in a row. Luckily we had Rhino GPS radios,as thats how they got out on the second day. This was sold as a private land hunt, but most was on Public paper land. Joe was hardly ever around to talk to. Nobody knew how to pack in the morning, as you did't know whether you were walking or sitting till the last minute, and he never looked at the days weather on the internet. We had to keep sitting in the same stands all three days I was there, no matter what the wind. Food was served very late every night, and it was nothing to write home about. I don't know what this outfit used to be like, but i can tell you it is nothing more than an internet scam now. He's going to run as many thru as he can,and steal their money.
