Montana Hunt and Fish Company

I will preface this review and admit that I had never been to Montana or seen an elk in the wild. I'm also a Midwestern Flatlander.
I called around and spoke with probably 10 different outfitters before choosing Vinny and Montana Hunt and Fish Company. He assured me throughout the year (I called him bi-weekly) that I would have a great opportunity to get a shot(s) at good bulls.
My guide was Guy Flynn, a 23year old, well experienced field guide. I was met ON TIME at the airport and went to camp where we would be staying for the week. We had excellent accommodations! We stayed at the Brackett Creek Inn, a bed and breakfast. Camp was a perfect location because it is situated between the 3 ranches that we hunted. Never had more than a 15 minute drive and we were hunting. We had toast/cereal/muffins for breakfast and made sandwiches to eat in the field for lunch. The B&B had hot water, showers, couches, your own bedroom and plenty of space to shoot arrows mid-day. There's also a nice creek there to catch some fish in, within walking distance of camp. Each night when we returned back to camp, the owners of the B&B would have us up to their house for a hot dinner and plenty of it.
The bulls weren't hot and heavy just yet, but they were coming to calls. I had 100% shot opportunity on bulls everyday that I hunted. I had 100% shot opportunity on cows everyday that I hunted as well. I was 1/2 of Vinny's 1st archery hunters and I will be more than happy to stand on my soapbox and tell people that the ranches we hunted have some good bulls on them. In 5 days of hunting, I probably saw 12 bulls that were bigger than the one that I harvested, "The Clyde Park Club". We also saw moose, mule deer, antelope and grouse.
Vinny runs a great operation that I would recommend to anyone. Everything from him returning calls/answering emails and answering the hundreds of questions I had for him, I was flat-out impressed with his operation. I filled my tag on Thursday and didn't hunt on Friday.
The terrain is suited for everyone, not too high/steep but not down in the valleys, either.
A big shout out to Vinny, Guy, Julio, Dr. Dan and Cowboy Dan in camp! I look forward to using MHFC for services again in the near future!!!
None to date. If you are the outfitter please email us.
Cool and 40 degrees in the morning. Afternoons would heat up to 75 degrees and cool back off into the high 50's at night. We only had rain 1 day during the hunt and it was a helluva rain/hail/wind storm.
