I do not recommend this outfitter

As you can see be the ratings the hunt it's self was great. We all left there feeling that when we came back we would do so with Uhuru. It wasn't until we got home the problems started. Before we left we each gave Morne instructions on what we wanted to do with our trophies. Larry wanted his sent home to be mounted here. I decided to let Morne do my trophies as he is a taxidermist. Since I had spent time with him in the blind that week and got to know him I felt he would do a good job. Dick and John said they just would like their horns and hides as they didn't want to get them mounted. Morne said that since that was all they were doing that he could put them in the crate with my animals and save us some shipping costs. 08/26/08 I recieved an e-mail saying my mounts were done and please send the rest of the money. Morne sent me an invoice for John and Dicks mounts that was way out of line of what they expected to pay to just get horns and hides. 09/10/08 he finally responded that that was the cost including their shipping charges to ship them. I sent a e-mail right back reminding him he agreed to send them in my crate. 10/10/08 said he was sorry for taking so long to get back to me his computer was down. He said send all the money together to save money? Dick said it was not worth the trouble and said to tell him to keep the horns and hides. 11/12/08 Morne finally responded saying he would include Johns stuff with mine send all the money for both. On 11/18/08 I sent both our money. Between then and 01/16/09 I sent him several emails asking about the status of our trophies as he had told me that the shipping comany would be in touch with me shortly. On 01/16/08 he copied me on an e-mail he had sent the shipping company asking about our trophies. After going back and forth with the shipping company who seemed to be pretty good I recieved my trophies. John's were not in the crate as Morne had said they would be. Mine were so poorly done I am embarrassed to hang them on my wall. I sent Morne an e-mail asking about John's stuff and telling him I was not happy with how mine turned out. It took him until 04/09/08 to respond. He said the shipping company broke John's horn shield and thats why his did not ship. He had no comment about what I said about my mounts so I sent him another e-mail. He offered to send me new capes blaming any problems on the skinner (his skinner). I said that would be fine. Send me the capes and the money we paid him for John's stuff that didn't ship as John was now disgussed and just wanted to be done with him. He agreed. Over the course of the rest of 2009 I sent him e-mails inquiring about the things he promised me he would send and got no response until out of the blue I got an e-mail from him on 09/19/09 saying he had "been off line for a couple of months" and has the cape and the money and he was just waiting for the paper work. As of this date I have recieved nothing and no more e-mails. We all started out really liking this guy, heck he even put our picture in his new brochure. His actions have shown us that he is not a man of his word and we would never hunt with him again. Actions speak louder that words. I have since found a taxidermist who had a cape and was willing to redo my impala so I'm paying for it twice.
