The owner of Grand Slam Adventures has obtained the contract to hunt a piece of the La Verendrye Reservation (approximately 300 square kilometers) Though his other territory is extremely loaded with great bear the trip Michel took me on around the reservation was unbelievable. We seen 6 bear on the road (one around 400pnds) all over 250pnds. Every bait look like it had been in place for 20 years, like the baits in his regular territory. I did not hunt the first night. I setup a tree stand, filled out the paper work to hunt the Reservation, help pull out a 400 pnd monster for 0ne of the three of us in camp and the following night went on the hunt. After Michel baited 15 mnts later there was bear in the bait. I seen 3 bear all around 2 to 250 pnds when a 320 pnd monster with a huge crease in his head came walking in.

A 18 yard shot put him down in 15 yards and the only thing left is the official score after dry time for PnY... What a blast, three in camp and all taking 300 + pnd bears!

You have so few chances in life to find a bear hunt in territory never hunted for bear. A piece that is huge and only hunting 300 Square clicks of a piece 10 times larger not being hunted. All driving distance from the North East. I have already laid claim to one of the ten permits for next year.
