table top mountain ranch

really enjoyed my hunt at table top mountain ranch. the accomadations were a house in town that was very nice. its a low fenced operation, so hogs can come and go, and this hunt was no different. however, my buddy got a big boar, and we saw enough sign and a few other hogs, enough to know it was a pretty good deal. the $600 is a daily fee, but it is divided by how many hunters u have. no trophy fees made it nice too. if i were to make any suggestions, i would do some burning or something, the green briar made much of the ranch untraversable, and i would get a bit better trail cams, preferably that showed date and time, as when showing up on a 2 day hunt its tough to know where hogs currently are hitting with just pictures. i am sure i will hunt there again however, had a blast.
I appreciate the "Very Good" rating for Brad's hunt. It can be a tough hunt especially when the wind is up. I will say that I do intend to clean up some of the greenbriar that makes the property "untraversable", but I think the thickets make the property more attractive to the hogs. They use it to escape from hunters. If it weren't there, they would simply leave the property to seek refuge. Also, it's been my observation that the hunters that hunt most if not all day rather than just a couple of hours in the morning and evening have a higher success rate.
wind was fairly strong, but the real problem here was it was blowing at all the stands from where you park a vehicle, so we were busting the stands before we even got there.
