This was the second year in a row that Ive hunted with Beau and Tom and will be back this year the first week of Nov. I have had a great time both years Ive been and know this year will be even better. They do a great job making sure u are in a stand that is fit for the wind direction u have for that day. If the wind shifts during the day with a quick text u are out of there and into a stand that it works for. CCO does not have a bad stand on their land. At any time at any stand could be the chance of a lifetime. Both years Ive been i have had a shot opportunity. The first year i passed a beautiful 4.5 yr old 4 yards under my stand after i watch him bed down 50 yards away from my stand for an hour and a half. i passed him because he was too broke up. This past season, the second day was the best day i have had in the hunting woods. Four shooter deer around 50 yards of my stand, 8 bucks total for the day. I had a 140 class 8 point at 33 yards and i didn't make the shot happen. I have had all the opportunities that I could ask for on my hunts. Yes they are a working farm but that in my opinion makes them a better outfit cause they are able to scout their land all year from the safest place, their tractor. Less pressure means better hunting to me. They do ask one thing and that is u come their to hunt. they recommend sitting in stands all day for better success and that should be a no brainer anyways. If u are in Illinois at anytime in Nov u should be in a stand all day. They do not advertise that u will see hundreds of deer a day and will tell u that very same thing but if u your part of being a serous bow hunter and take their advise you will have opportunities of harvesting a great buck there. Beau has become a great friend as well as everyone else there. O by the way. To the people who say that their property in Mercer Co. is not as good as their Rock Island Co. property. They are very mistaken. Both hunts i was on took place on their Mercer Co. land. Blaine and Steph help with that land and are second to none. Thanks again guys and see you this fall.
