Hunted at Early county outfitters in Early county, Ga in Jan of 2010. I and another hunter only saw one deer the whole hunt. We were also told that a group of eleven hunters were just there and they only saw 2 deer between all of them. The website said they had plenty of game and the best hunting in the state of Georgia. Heath McDowell the owner also stated that he had a 60% percent success rate of hunters killing a 120" deer. There is no way that can be true. He said we were there during the peak of the rut and there were no signs of rut activity or deer activity for that matter. Corn feeders were illegally hung right over green fields within 100 yards of the stands we were put at also. The green field had very few tracks and showed almost no signs of deer grazing on them also. I could also tell by well worn tire ruts in the pastures leading to my hunting stands that hunters were frequently taken to the same stands repeatedly. The accomodations were good and the food were good but this is a place to have a camp experience and not a great hunt imo. I felt like this place was just there to make the owner money. He was not concerned in the least that we were not seeing anything and also when the other hunter left he didn't tell him by or shake his hand and that poor guy drove all the way from Kentucky. The owner also owned a deer processing company and it surely would not suprise me to learn that many of the pictures on his website were of deer that were dropped off to be processed, not deer killed at his place. Most of the pictures were in front of his processing business. I just got a complete sense of this place being a scam operation. I would advise people to not to waste their money on this outfitter.
