I do not recommend this outfitter

I have been on seven hunts for whitetail deer with an outfitter. Mike has some good farms and probably a fair amount of deer, but I didn't see many (8 in 44 hours in a stand). The weather was too warm and I didn't see any rut activity. The four stands I sat were more for rifle hunting and all had shooting rails (not good for archery). Mike told me that a good bow hunter should be able to use the stands. The accommdations were the worst I have experienced. I stayed my first night in an old farm house by myself and the next four nights with two other hunters. There were no guides or any hunt personnel around. We had to fix our own breakfast(no bacon or sausage and nothng to fry eggs in except butter). The supper was delivered in foil wrapped pans and left for us to unwrap and eat. WE had to do the dishes ourselves. There was no TV except a DVD player with four movie videos and no hunting videos. I asked Mike about some drinks that I prefered. His answer is this is what is we supply. I asked about the TV so we could listen to the weather. His reply is I'm not going to have cable or satelite for a year when it will only be used for four months. My $1500 would ahve covered a lot more than that. Any suggestions to MIke would lead to an argument. On the six other outfitted hunts I have been on (four were $1500 and one $1800)they prepared breakfast with all of their hunters there at the same time. They had big screen TV. They had large choices for you to fix your lunch. All of the hunters ate the evening meal togetherwith the guides and outfitter. The guides and outfitter did the dishes and prepared the meals. Now that I have said the bad about the outfitter. I blew a chance at a 130/140 buck on the fourth afternoon that had nothing to do with outfitter. Didn't snap the nock on the string when I set up in the stand and the arrow fell as I drew and scared the buck at 5 yards.

Was the outfitter notified of problems? - NO
