My third time at Whitetail Heaven in Kentucky, this was another successful hunt. I took my son there now for 3 straight years. Our first time, my son got his first turkey as did I at the same time. Last year, my son harvested his first deer. As they say, the third time is a charm, my son shot this ten point, 150 class, 5yr old, 179 lb. field dressed MONSTER BUCK. I shot mine the day we arrived, in the evening, which was the 2nd to last day of KY rifle. My buck was a nice 7 pointer, with a drop down tine, and a 130 class buck. The next and last day of KY rifle, my son was able to get his first monster buck. At 7:00 a.m., he shot his monster at 302 yards away. He hunted about 100 yards behind the lodge. His guide, Kevin and my son went up in the tower stand at 6:45 a.m., my son seen a doe and a nice 6 pointer which he was ready to take. But thanks to these experienced guides, he was able to see this monster with his binoculars just as my son took aim on the 6 pointer. It was a 302 yard shot, and he used his .243 to harvest it.

I been to many outfitters, but Whitetail Heaven is nothing but FIRST CLASS. From arriving there and getting greeted by the awesome staff, to the World Class Cuisine, to the unbelievable accommodations, and most importantly, the successful hunt. I already booked my 2010 deer hunt with my son and wife. My wife also came this time and enjoyed the outstanding lodge, cuisine while our son and I hunted.
