This was my first hunt with an outfitter. I really didn't know what to expect or how to compare it to other outfitters so I will stick to the facts. The Buck to Doe ratio at the Quail Shed is the best I've seen or heard of. I saw five bucks to every doe. I passed more than one shooter each day I hunted. I was just waiting for that one giant of the woods and I saw more than one. I just couldn’t get the big one in range. That’s hunting. I saw upwards of 10 to 15 bucks a day. Clifford and the guides know their deer. LISTEN TO THEM! The deer hunting was great as well was the company in camp. Sitting around at night over some thick steaks talking about deer is about as good as it gets. I can’t wait to get back and I’ve only been home a couple of hours.

We had the same warm front come through as did everyone else in the midwest. It slowed things down but I still saw of deer and rutting action.
