Hunter Comments

I booked my moose hunt with Jeff Frey of Bowhunters Select Outfitter. He recommended Gundahoo River Outfitters. From the beginning all paperwork and coordination was A+. I was picked up at the airport in Fort Nelson and taken to base camp. AFter a short bush flight into a spike camp I met my guide. My guide was prepared and ready for my hunt. All equipment and accomodations were taken care of and very well thought out. In seven days of hunting we came across approximately 20 moose of which 6 were legal bulls. I ended up shooting a very nice bull. I can't say enough good about this outfitter. Art and Crystal Thompson care about their clients and it shows. Jeff Frey (bowhunters select outfitters) set me up on an awesome hunt, he's extremely trust worthy and you won't go wrong by calling him.

Troy Thompson was a professional hunter in every aspect. He came prepared both mentally and physically which to an Outfitter is very important. We cannot control the weather and a hunt in October can be difficult, but as a bowhunter they have patience built in....they know to wait for that perfect shot. As a Outfitter that has to fly in the mountains in unpredictable weather...we need our clients to be patient as we wait for that window of opportunity to fly the hunter into his camp. Thankyou Troy for being that patient hunter....it does pay off!
