The cabin was very nice. The food was average, but the quanity was not there. Forgot a lot of essentials, like butter, salad dressing, salt and pepper and mustard. The land was very good, but the deer were not moving. The one thing that was upsetting was that the stands were not placed in proper areas for bowhunting. The stands were below where the deer came in, and the deer either saw us, or winded us immediately. I went 16 hours in the tree without seeing a deer. We did not see a shooter buck. We saw 5-6 small buck. Spikes and one small 5 points. The stands were very comfortable, but placed very poorly. Most of the time we were ground level with the deer. Three of us were winded by almost all of the deer, and we all cleaned and had complete scent lok clothing. Never happened to any of us before. I saw three doe the last day in the first hour, and left the stand, because I was in the open, and the deer when visible, were ground level with us. If the stands were placed properly, we may have seen more deer. Very poor stand placement. The land is very good and I am sure holds some nice deer, but not until the rut, or the gun season. Bowhunting in those stands would be fruitless. Also, the outfitter was not available by phone at all times. Very tough to get him, although he would respond at some point. He was upset that we used a stick of butter for three guys in two days. Would not recommend for bowhunting until they learn how to set up stands. They saw buck in the trail cams and put stands there without thinking of placement. Very disappointed. Waited 6 months for the hunt and knew we were in trouble after the first day. Would have been better if we had our own stands.

As Outfitters we should be able to rate hunters. Some of them are just un-guideable as is the case with Pete Larioni . Pete is a self proclaimed expert at Deer hunting and did not think that i had any experience in the area that he hired me for. although he had no knowledge of the Deer and patterns and behaviors of deer in my area. even though Pete himself made many mistakes as we all do (like walking around when i asked him to not move from the stand ). I do have a record of past hunts and clients in these areas and other and have never had any bad experiences with clients or the ability to harvest deer. in 12 years in the outfitting business Pete is the first client i ever wanted asked to take his money and go home Take this for what it is worth to you and thank you for allowing me to write a reply.
