My first moose hunt. The weather was too hot for the rut to kick in. But by day 9 the weather and moon brought them out. None of the bulls I encountered would come to the call including the one I took. He was with a cow when I spotted him 600yds out. Opted to stalk to 200yrds and use the rifle. No regrets as it is my 1st. Lloyd Clark & His Crew are by far the hardest working bunch I have ever hunted with. They did not give up & kept a positive attitude even during the early dry spell. I would hunt with them again for sure. Fell free to contact me for any other specifics about my adventure with the Pink Mountian Crew.
Agree , the bull Mike took was a truly great trophy Canada moose that only came from preserverance and dedication to hunting . The conditions were awful early in the hunt but nobody gave up including Mike . His attitude remained positive and he treated all around him with respect . Great hunter , and I would like to also offer a nice word to Mark Buehrer with Bow Hunting Safaris on this hunt , as all the paperwork was well organized and it was easy for us at Pink Mountain Outfitters to put together the hunt Mike wanted . We would love to guide you again Mike.
Early part of the hunt was too warm and shut down/slowed the rut.
