My friend and I hunted with Steve Powers and Papa Bear Adventures for a drop off moose hunt. Although we didn't harvest a moose, it was only because I was bowhunting. A rifle would have ended our hunt early. I was able to harvest a black bear. Steve and Robin run a first rate business that I would recommend to anyone. The equipment was new or in great working order, accomodations in Bethel were great, and the pilots were second to none. I would have never thought a transporter would work as hard as Steve does to make sure of a succesful hunt. On the second day, a bear decided to eat our raft and gas can. Hesitantly, we called on the sat phone, wondering what was to happen. Without hesitation, Steve offered to move our camp and bring us a new raft and can. I highly recommend Papa Bear Adventures to anyone who wants a DIY hunt or fishing trip.
