Bar H Outfitters is a first-class operation in all aspects: accommodations, guides & staff, horses/mules/tack, and knowledge of the area in which they hunt and the habits of the elk there. I got my bull late on the last day of my 5-day hunt - this was a testament to the perserverance and hard work of my guide. He never gave up, and always was thinking ahead to what our next move(s) should be. It was kind of like the proverbial "if you work hard enough you make your own luck" situation. We hunted hard all day every day and stayed with it until I got my shot opportunity.

Weather was only a factor on our second day, as it snowed for several hours and pretty much shut down elk activity. Had some rain the first day, but otherwise the weather was pleasant.
