I do not recommend this outfitter

The area hunted was good but the Outfitter (Dan Hungle) didn't do much other than take our money. We booked a SPIKE CAMP hunt for 4 hunters and was split into two groups hunting out of camps 8 miles apart once we arrived. Was told we could all get together and hunt out of one camp but once in the woods the guides were unable to contact each other or main base camp... Baits were not ready or baited and we spent time baiting sites for the hunters coming in the week after ours (famous hunting couple)... Food was terrible in our camp but better in the other camp... Sad that such a great area is wasted on such a bad, cheap and lazy outfitter... This was my first and most likely my last guided hunt.

Was the outfitter notified of problems? - YES

Outfitter's Response
Agree

We enjoyed having this hunter, his father and two friends as our guests this spring in our black bear spike camps. It is always a disappointment to hear from any hunter that we did not meet his hunt expectations. We had a cold late spring and perhaps the bears were not as active on the bait sites as we would have like. The hunter identifed a number of his concerns about the hunt after he returned home. We have now addressed these concerns and made the necessary adjustments to our operation where applicable. Perhaps what could be mentioned is this party of four hunters harvested five black bears with one being a very large boar with traditional archery equipment. They also wounded and lost three other bears with one of them also an extremely large boar. Some hunters might agree that this was a pretty good hunt, however we must have failed to meet this hunters expectations for which we will apologize. Our guide team is very dedicated and commited to providing the best hunt we can for each and every one of our hunters.
