Myself and 2 others arrived on the 28th of March. One was hoping for a good ram the other was just wanting a shot on a hog. As for me I wanted a Blackbuck or a nice Axis. The first evening my cousin shot a very nice Corsican making Bronze medal. The next morning I had the good fortune to have the opportunity on a nice Axis buck still in velvet. My shot was a bit back but would prove to be fatal, however Keith took up the trail with his dogs and ensured that I would find my trophy. The third member of the party never got a shot on a hog during the 2 outtings we had at Keiths. However they were there as I had pigs in front of me at 20 yards or less both of my sits, as did my cousin. During both sits I had activity at my stands.
This was my second trip to Keiths and I would recommend his place to anyone, beginner or otherwise. Keith's main deal is for you to have the best possible chance at the animal that you came for. It may not always happen but he does what he can to get you that opportunity. Keiths is also all about fun. He, unlike many outfitters I have met before, is not all about money and business. He is one of the guys and makes sure you have a good time.

The first evening was extremely windy, but still took a trophy ram. The next morning the temp had dropped to 38 degrees, and for southern Texas thats cold. But I had more animals pay me a visit that morning than I could have hoped for, resulting in my nice Axis Buck. There was also an ongoing drought causing the spring green up to be a little late.
