Louie's Outposts and Timberwolf Air

We used Timberwolf air service, but we stayed in another outfitters camp due to Bull tag availability. Louie, Rick, and Robin are all great people that run a top-notch business. I have done several fly-in hunts and fishing trips, as my Grandfather was an Ontario outfitter for the past 30 years. Rick (the pilot) loves what he does and it shows. He went out of his way on both flights to point out their camps, a couple moose and a black bear that was huge, even from 400 feet above him. Having flown with atleast 10 other bushpilots Rick is a breath of fresh air to know that even though they run a tight schedule they can still take the time for the things that make the Ontario wilderness my favorite place to be! Although we did not arrow our quary, 10 days in the bush with my grandfather and cousin created a lifetime of memories. We did call 2 very nice bulls in, but they hung up out of range. I believe all the moose in the area were on edge due to all the wolves in the area the first couple days. The fishing was AWESOME with 6 pike in the 10-15 lb range and atleast 100 other pike. This trip also introduced me to my new favorite small game hunting, stalking partridge and putting an arrow in them is a blast! So dont forget your fishing lisence and small game permits! In conclusion: Being an outfitter is a competitive, cut throat business, so it is a rare occasion when you find a down to earth sincerly friendly outfitter. As I stated before, My grandfather was an outfitter in this area for 30 years and he chose Louie's and timberwolf.... That speeks volumes for their business!
