Matt libby is a likeable person. I hunted at libby Camps for deer a couple of years. I passed on a few small bucks. My last deer hunt I also booked a Bear hunt with Matt for the following August. This was in November. I gave him the standard $200.00 deposit. Usually deposits are due in june. In April I contacted Matt libby and told him i had to cancel my bear hunt as my son was in a national hockey tournament that time period and i was the coach. Matt said no problem and he would send my deposit back. I waited a few months and nothing. I called him back and he said that he couldn't afford to send it to me but he would split the difference. I waited again a couple months and nothing. I called him again and this time he said that the deposit was non-refundable. The area is nice and the staff were helpful. I don't do business with liars and have never returned to libby camps in Northern maine.
