I recommend this outfitter

Went to All About U ranch on 1/31 for a 2 day hog hunt with 7 of my hunting buddies. From the time we arrived until the time we left, we were welcomed to James' home and made a part of his family. His wife Mary did all of the cooking and I guarantee we added a couple of pounds each!

The hunt was over feeders with some spot and stalk done during the day. The feeders were all operational and threw corn exactly when they said. The accommodations were more than adequate and the guide, Russell, was extremely knowledgeable and did everything in his power to get us on hogs. The owner, James West, was involved in every aspect of our hunt and he too went above what was expected. While we didn't all kill hogs nor did we all get a shot opportunity, the hunt was very successful in all of our opinions. James runs a first class operation and was truly upset more of us did not get a shot and take home some meat.

I hunted mostly with my bow from a ladder stand setup with an easy 14 yard shot. I did have 20-25 good size hogs come in the first night but it was dark and I could not see my pins and was not willing to risk wounding a hog. This was my best opportunity with my bow over the 2 day hunt.

They were hit by the winter ice storm that pushed through the midwest 3 days before we arrived. We do feel that affected their patterns.

James truly felt bad and he offered us all a 'free' day of hunting if we want to come back. I have been skunked at other places just to be told "that's hunting". James understands and we all told him it was a success either way but he wants us back and our coolers to be full. We'll book again without any hesitation.

If you do go, have his 4 year old son Gunner tell you some hunting stories! I laughed so hard listening to him telling me about a hog being DRT. He said everyone knew what DRT meant so wouldn't tell us. Had to say we were from Colorado and didn't know. "Well, you should know! That means that hog is Dead Right There. He's ready for the grill!" Great time - thanks James, Mary and Russell.

thanks russ for the review and all the kind words about the ranch, family,& russel our guide.the russel bond group was a group that u hate to see leave and u just hope that each group that shows up the rest of the year are just like they are.as russ said on tuesday when we were checking feeders we had more hogs than u could shake a stick at and then the sleet storm came for a day and a half and i really dont know what happened after that, but was pleased that everyone atleast did get to see & shoot at hogs(5 upto 25 hogs) at thier feeders and everyone but tim got to pull the trigger on a hog or hogs.larry was the lucky guy on the trip he got to shoot at 3 hogs and was only able to take one of them.we appreciate russ and his group understanding that we are a free range hunting opporation and we cant guarentee anything, but what we can control ourselves and that five strand bobwire fence that holds the cattle in.we are looking forward to russ and his group comn back and i guarentee u the ice chest will be full this time or we will die tryn to getm full.if u ever have a chance to book this group u will not regret it and u as a outfitter yourself will have a awsome time with them.so bookm.oh russ, cup cake(your guide russell) said hello and he looks forward to cn yall back.russell said to tell chris that he promisses he will not sneak up and tackle more than one hog again on yalls next trip.thanks james, mary, jami jo,remi, gunner,& russell

Never know if weather had an affect or not. Winter ice storm 3 days before we arrived did seem to affect the hog movement and patterns but not willing to blame mother nature on our outcome.
