BOoked a 3 day hunt for 3 bowhunters @1350. each with Kevin arnold for a semiguided trophy hunt on 2000acres of farms with food plots, low hunting pressure, and lots of deer. numerous phone calles to kevin repeated what the web site said.This was near zanesville in one of the top trophy areas in ohio. drove 1000+miles in 16 hours. Met with ryan montgomery, paid up and went to the "farm". 129 acres of hillside with a topomap of 5 stands "all flagged off the trail". We had a 4-wheeler, but ryan said it was "too steep to use it". This is the only think he told the truth about. We went hunting that afternoon, found 4 stands, all within 100yards of each other. A couple where 50 yards apart. One was close enough to a back yard that my buddy got to watch a birthday party with fireworks.Close enough to see that he was 8 years old, and overhear that daddy was having trouble getting a job. Had a dead cow down wind, and a guy with a 4-wheeler and climbing stand go by a couple of times. I never found my stand after following the ribbons to the end.NO DEER or recent sign. Next morning we went back, same thing only different stan couse I found one, had a 10 yard opening and when I got out at noon I was looking at my buddy 50 yards away. people with gunshots 50 yards behind me.Several neighbors dogs came through too. At noon we gave up. Called kevin and asked for a different farm. Said call Ryan, ryan said call kevin, told him I had, said he would call me back. Never heard from him again. Called both guys every 2 hours and got nothing. Had no choice but to go back and try again. Saw deer eating out of bird feeders on the way back, never saw a single deer on the hunting property. 10-11hours for 3 days with 3 hunters, NEVER SAW A DEER. never heard from either guy. went home, kept calling, finally go kevin after we got home. Told him what happened, He repeated "Thats Hunting", "You got to stick it out", and My favorite "You got to stay on the stands to see the Big Boys".Told him you got to have DEER to see the big boys. Told him I was more concerned with his attitude than the fact We didnt see deer. I felt he treated us in a very unproffesional manner by not returning our numerous calls and this is not the way outfitters should treat clients. He offered to let us finish out the week of hunting.I told hime no, We would not be driving back another 16 hrs. for that. Notified the Ohio Attorney Generals office,submitted a complaint, They sent me a reply from Kevin that stated we tore up his "Farm" with the 4wheeler (we never unloaded it), Lied about calling him, Said we lied about the stands,poachers, houses, dogs, ETC. Insinuated we didnt know how to hunt.His main defense was that we were in muskigum county know for hugh deer. I dont disagree with that because I saw them all over town and the highway, but not on his "Farm". The only recourse now is to sue them in civil court and my attorney said it will cost me more than I paid for the hunt or will ever get back. STILL havent heard from Ryan.
