Fantastic hunt. Five went and we took 3 bulls and two cows. I had my 4 x 4 by 8:30am the first morning. Randy, Jeanne, the Bar-H staff, guides, packers & wranglers are the best. This was our second hunt in three years and we now have great friends in Colorado. We'll be back in 2010 - Curtis, Ricky, Charlie, James, and Robert.
Curtis and his group hunted with us in 2007 on a drop camp hunt and did not get an elk. We were delighted that our service and our hunting area was enough to bring them back for a second hunt with Bar-H in 2008 when they did harvest elk. Now they are booked for their 3rd hunt with Bar-H for the 2010 season. They are an awesome group of hunters who share with us a love for God's creation and strong hunting ethics. While their first hunt with us was not successful in terms of getting elk, they hunted hard and made the most of their experience in this beautiful part of Colorado. Hunters like Curtis' group are what make "hunting" the true sport it is. Thank you Curtis, Ricky, Charlie, James and Robert for hunting with Bar-H and we too believe we have great friends from Tennessee.
The ride in was windy, rainy, snowy, cold, and warm - believe it or not. The rest of the week was great.
