I would categorize this outfitter as providing a relaxing vacation hunt for good value. The Utley's do a great job catering to a big group of hunters, providing good food and comfortable clean rooms and other accomodations like the lounge with pool room- Large screen tv, fire pit, and dining hall. This is a good place for the boys to get together, hunt in comfort and socialize. If you are looking for a place for a business outing or a big group, they can have close to 40 at one time, this would be my recommendation. This is not a one on one type hunt where they aim to get you in front of the largest buck in the woods. While they do have some big deer and shoot one each week, your expectations should be a doe and possibly a buck. The group at camp during my stay of 13 hunters shot 4 bucks and 7 does for the 4 days hunted. One was a respectable 8 point. Weather was extremely poor on days 1 & 2 with heavy rains but things got better on days 3 & 4 and we saw more deer. On two sits, I saw 13 (11 does, 2 small bucks) and 8 deer (2 yearling bucks and 6 does). They utilize shooting houses and ladder stands which are in good shape and comfortable. With any large outfitter, the only con I would mention is this is a numbers type place, stands are random and as a hunter you are hoping the field or clearing you are watching is productive.
