Wow, what can I say, Mike, Myron, Tim, and their respective families treated me like one of their own. Lots of elk seen including a few giants that would go over 360. Saw many nice mule deer that were 140 or better. Successful on a whitetail 125" 8 point fresh out of velvet on the last day.
Hunting ranged from strictly private land to crossing private land to get to hard to reach public pockets.
Get in shape!!!! We hunted off the face of where big horn sheep live. There is also easy-to-walk ranch land that elk live on and pass through.
Lodge was very nice, we ate in the outfitters home.
Guide was a bowhunter.
Summary- Game rich area 7 (WY ELK UNIT) with the right people = great time. Did not get to fling an arrow at an elk but came close many times. Straight shooting people for sure.
