This was my 2nd trip with Todd. As a rookie whitetail hunter, I'm still learning what it takes to bag a monster ILL. buck. I saw 7 bucks in my week, but none made the min. size requirement. I came early in the season this time to experience something new. I did harvest 2 does, something Todd encourages.The pictured buck was taken by Tony midway through our hunt. 2 other does were harvested and everyone either saw or blew opportunities at shooter bucks. Todd knows his hunting area and he wants you to be successful, not just see deer. He will help you find a hot spot to set your stand. Listen to what he tells you and you will see deer.

The weather was typical of an early hunt. Up and down temp wise. The corn was still standing and a lot of deer were hanging in it and wouldn't come out.
