This was a hunt with Fred Eichler's guide operation. Outstanding hunt by all measures!! Every hunter except for 1 guy got at least one shot on an animal (though several people missed). Saw many antelope in the distance, and there were numerous P&Y antelopes running around to hunt. One of the best things was the evening meal, prepared with fresh meat from antelope/elk/boar/deer etc served up at the Eichler house, with great story telling around the table. The guides went above and beyond the call to do everything possible to make each of our hunts a success. The bunk house was comfortable and clean. From a great breakfast each morning, to meat packed into a cooler for the flight home and the trophy head delivered to the local taxidermy... everything we needed was taken care of in the most professional and friendly manner possible!! Basically we were left without any concern other than the actual hunt, which is exactly what I was looking for!

Wet weather is a killer for hunting antelope from a ground blind. It rained the day before we got there, so some standing water was visible day one, though some hunters still got shot opportunities. And the Eichlers have several ranches to choose from so with small summer storms passing through, sometimes it can miss one ranch altogether. But we got lucky, and had no rain while we were hunting.
