Save your money! Six days of hunting, a few days 10 hours; not a singlge bear! Used PARTS of one frozen beaver and Bear bombs as bait; then taking the beaver parts for use the next day. Had oats and oil in barrels, but no active baiting prior or during the hunt. Nothing, in my opinion, that would attract any bears to the sites. Very poor set-up and a total waste of time. Would have left early, but he allready had my money, so I stuck it out the full six days,and not a single bear was seen!!!!

It was unfortunate that Mr. Thompson wasn't successful but I tried my best and did my best. There was alot of berrys out this fall and the bears were eating that alot. I put him in 6 different bait sites all of which showed signs of bear activity. Everytime I left a bait site I would stand up the barrels and everytime I came back to check it the barrels are all pushed over. We would even see bear tracks on my quad tracks in the mud!!! The last day I sat in a stand that he had sat previously and I didn't use any scent control, I had my QUAD under my stand with the wind blowing right to the bait and I still had a 300.lb black bear with a big white V on his chest come in to the bait??? I even took 2 photos with my cell phone at 40yds away!! Mr. Thompson wasn't very much concerned about his scent. He may have had only 2 showers the whole week he was here. The norm here is that everyone takes a shower with scent control soap and shampoo before we go out. I guess I should have sat with him to see if he was quiet and alert. It's unfortunate when you get clients who feel that success of a hunt is only if you kill. I feel very bad that he wasn't successful. Our ads always said your success is our success and we mean it. I care about every client that hunts with us and I certainly wish that everyone is successful. I really enjoyed his company while he was here. If you look at our website and see the bears we have taken--- it's upsets me when you can get a client that kills one year and he has all good to say about you and then the next year he doesn't kill and then he has no good to say about you. I don't call these type of people, "HUNTERS". Do they realize that these are wild, free roaming animals, this isn't a fenced in hunt. For the five years that I have been doing the bear hunts this is the first and only complaint we have ever had from a client.
