As i was headed to Wyoming, my dad, my brother, and i were so exited to be going antelope hunting, with a bow! We landed in Casper on august 14th and drove about 1 hour to Wright Wyoming seeing thousands of antelope on the way. When we got there we met Paul, James, and Brandon, our guides. We shot our bows and we were all still on. I came preparred to shoot 0-35 yards. But, with the cold weather we ran into, 55 degrees in the morning, spot and stalk was the only option. My dad got a 12 inch goat on the first morning on a spot and stalk after he got tired of the blind. We hunted for the rest of the dayand never got another antelope, however me and my brother missed about 5 shots from 50-60 yards each. On the second day we spotted a goat that appeared to have a dislocated front shoulder. I got to 29 yards on a stalk.i hit it a little far back but i got it. My first antelope and it was about 13 inches. A nice goat. That same day my brother got a doe from about 60v yards on a stalk. The third day it really warmed up. My brother got another doe. Iwas in a blind and a doe came in to the water hole. i stuck her at 32 yards. After seeing all the antelope coming to the water holes on the third day when it was warm. I know everyone would have tagged out on the first day if the weather cooperated. My dad, my brother, and i all got antelope. Another hunter in camp left with nothing despite blowong multiple opportunities from 30-40 yards. the guides were the best and hardest working guides i have ever hunted with. If you come preparred to shoot 30-50 yards, you will Definitely kill antelope. A rifle hunt would be fairly easy. I saw hundreds of antelope just while stalking. i have never seen so many huge antelope and mule deer even on tv. On a rifle hunt you would be done in 10 minutes with a 15 inch antelope guaranteed.If u want to kill antelope and have a fun time doing it, this is the place for you. This was a great hunt and i will definitely be back.
