This was the worst bear hunt ive ever been on. Ive been on hunts that cost half as much and seen 10X more animals. In my whole week of hunting i saw only 3 bears none of which were big enough to shoot, 2 were about 70 pounds and one about 180. I sat 4 days seeing absolutely nothing. Baiting was extremely cheap, mostly popcorn, gummie bears and some kind of white meat scraps, and chocolates. The only thing the 3 bears i saw were interested in were the chocolates. They were supost to use beavers but when we got there there were none, we were told there was a shortage of beavers and the lack of bear sightings was due to a bad winter and alot of bears probably died or were eatin by wolves. Funny thing is everyone we talked to at the airports on the way home that was hunting near us with other outfitters saw lots of bears and killed bears, and what a surprise their outfitters had beavers. I will say i liked the guides and cooks, they all had great personalities and it wasnt their fault they were working for an outfitter that decided to be cheap on baiting. There were bears killed in camp by a few of my hunting companions but only one was a decent bear weighing about 250 pounds, the rest were no bigger than 150 tops and a total of 5 bears were killed by 6 hunters that were allowed 2 each. This was mostly due to these hunters never killing or seeing a bear before this hunt. The group that hunted the week before us all had bad reports to give us on arrival all except one lady that had takin her first bear and was tickled, im happy for her but i hope she actually gets to experience a quality hunt one day because this is far from a quality hunt. DONT BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU SEE ON TV ABOUT THIS PLACE. There are celeberties that hunt there that will remain nameless but you will NOT hunt the same baits as them, you will not use the same bait, and they will hunt twice as long as you get to for free. It is my opinion that this outfitter has overhunted his area and gone cheap on his bait, it may have been a good place at one time but from what i seen its horrible now. Save your money and go else where.
