I first discovered Ohio Trophy Outfitters in 2004 on ebay, needless to say I was skeptical but after several conversations with Joe Miller (the owner) I bought the trip. I was there for five days and saw more deer than I had all season back home in Virginia. I had an opportunity to shoot a 140 class animal but could not close the deal. I left without an animal but enjoyed the experience, so I booked for 2005 which ended up pretty much the same. I also booked for 2006. A brand new state of the art lodge had been constructed and more land had been leased. Joe had blocks of land assigned to each hunter, I was the only one hunting my block, which I guessed to be around 100 acres. Long story short, by 8:45 AM the first morning I had a 160 inch non-typical 11 point on the ground. My guide, Tyrone dragged the deer out and after a thousand pictures he field dressed the animal (250 pounds) and hung him in their walkin cooler. Awesome experience and would recomend this trip to anyone looking for a good time deer hunting. Special thanks to my wife for putting up with my obsession.
