Tshepe Safaris which is run by Cobus Mouton provided my wife, son (11 years old), daughter (8 years old) and I with the best vacation we have ever had. It was beyond our expectations. The whole staff was wonderful and they make you feel at home. The lodge is wonderful, the archery range is first rate and the day trips my family took were wonderful. The hunting was suburb and they work very hard to help you harvest what you are after including taking immediate care of the game to ensure you get it back home. The Professional Hunters I hunted with, Roland Liebenberg and Marius Cromhout, know their game and were spot on in every aspect for making a dream hunt. I harvested nine African plains game animals in 10 days including Gemsbok, Blesbok, Black Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Blue Wildebeest, Kudu, Impala, Nyala Bull and Eland, with 6 of the 9 that will score in the top 50 in SCI. The food at Tshepe prepared by Lizette was excellent. I highly recommend this outfitter to any bowhunter and especially one who has family that wants to go. We came as strangers and left as dear friends. We will be back to Tshepe to see Cobus and their entire hunting family.

We hunted part of the dark moon which was better but as the new moon rose we saw slightly reduced activity although still good. Weather was predominately cold, clear skies with light wind with a few overcast days and more windy conditions.
