Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

This was our first trip to Saskatchewan and our first hunt with K&L. Ken and Linda Buxton run a Top Notch Outfit. Their Lodge is spacious and comfortable (4 double occupancy rooms, 2 bathrooms, a TV Room, Sitting Area and kitchen).

Meals were incredible (gained 3 # in camp)rolls, biscuits, cake, cupcakes, etc were baked fresh daily. The amount of food served at each meal was of sufficient quantity to afford 'big eaters' a chance for second and even third helpings.

We had 7 hunters in Camp, 6 hunters harvested bears; one unsuccessful hunter chose not to shoot because he hunted a specific bear. Everyone saw multiple bears daily.

Ken is a bowhunter who caters to bowhunters. All hunter stands consisted of ladder stands and tripods, all in exceptional condition and positioned within 'chip shot' bow range (15-23 yards being the norm).

Transportation to the hunting area was via 2 modes started at 2:30 PM dail. Hunters would first ride in 4WD trucks until they reached a drop off point, at which time they were ferried to their stands either by a Ranger ATV or a Quad. All hunters were picked up within 20 minutes of the end of shooting hours each night. Trophy Care was first rate. All bears were skinned, salted, frozen, bouble wrapped and boxed prior to departing camp.

This was my 6th bear hunt and by far the best organized and most memorable to date. WOuld I recommend K&L -- youbetcha! My wife and I are booked for a return trip in 2010 - we'd be there next year but he's already booked.
