I have been hunting at this camp for 13 years and killed 13 black bear in a row. I have taken 50 hunters with me in a span of 13 years and all but 3 hunters that did'nt shoot a bear. I would like to say weather has a big roll in a hunt!!! I noticed an outfitter report saying that pb guide service did'nt do a good job the week he was there.He did mention the wheather was rainy and windy,a guide can't control that! I think 1 for 2 is pretty good odds, and not everyone is going to kill a big bear. The week I hunted we had the biggest bear killed at camp and it weighed 450 lb's. According to a hunter from Maryland named John everything was bad. The hunting,food,weather and guide service and nothing to do after the kill. The black bear hunting nobody kills more bear then PB Guide Service!! Check Maine Fish and Wildlife stats!!The food is absolutely excellent! You could eat as much as you want with it being quality food! After the hunt, you can go fishing and coyote hunting ,but it is up to you to make it happen the guides will not babysit you as they have other hunters to tag out and skin all the bear that are killed that week!I can't believe john would complain about not getting a bear the first time out! Why after 25 years and thousands of satisfied hunters would you coplain about PB guide service! Paul and all his guides want you to kill a bear!! There are guys who miss 2 and 3 bear and he still gives them another chance. Not many if any guide service would do this!!!I would say to John in Maryland! Talk to Paul and give it another Try, but don't say you would not recommend that hunters should'nt hunt there, when more bears are killed at PB then anywere in Maine!!
