Our group spent 2 1/2 days spot and stalk hunting at Dos Plumas and the entire experience was great. The lodging is rustic, but very comfortable. We provided our own meals and prepared them in the lodge. The hogs were very plentiful making the bowhunting very exciting. You see a lot of pigs in the 50-100 pound range, but if you are patient you will also see many pigs in the 200+ size range. The mesquite and cactus provide a perfect setting for spot and stalking, and we were into pigs literally non stop the entire time we were there, and we hunted from sunup to sundown every day, and even a bit at night. Allen and his wife are very accomodating and will provide you every opportunity possible to leave a happy hunter. The hospitality they provide is second to none. All three in my group harvested pigs with our bows and I had to hold myself back from taking good opportunities at more. Overall, it was an excellent trip and I will definitely be back again to enjoy the wonderful overall experience found at Dos Plumas. Thanks Allen!
