For the last 9 years I have been making an annual trip to Pete Ray's. Pete has more hunting knowledge and experience than any one I have ever met. I am the only bowhunter in our group and it has never been a disadvantage. With everyone shooting .243's and .270's Pete always made sure I had a clear 20 yard opportunity. The hogs are more than abundant and free ranging. Pete does not run a canned hunt. Be ready to test your skills and patience because the Big Boars are there. Every year I have harvested at least one hog, sometimes as many as 4. As for the food and the hospitality they are unmatched. Be ready to have your appetite satisfied. Where else can you get Eland steaks, Buffalo Burgers and Axis in the same day. Sharon, the cook, will not dissapoint anyones taste. If your lucky, Pete will even spice up one of your hogs and slow cook it over a Mesquite fire. I have hunted and fished with some of the finest operations around the world and have the SCI records to prove it. This is truly a diamond in the rough. I look forward to hunting with Pete for many years to come.
