Do not book this outfitter. He booked me for a Delaware turkey hunt, if you follow all the reviews you will see a pattern. Joe likes to blame health for poor performance which I needed nothing from him (even though he and his website says turkey hunts are guided)but a good place to hunt which he promised but under delivered. After he poor mouthed his health and I gave him opportunity to cancel me days before the hunt and give me my money back he chose for me to proceed with the hunt. He asked if I would come a few days early to help scout because of health and him not being able to, then tried to charge me 75 a night for extra nights. I refused and stayed in motel my entire stay. I don't know what I was to scout it was 75ac property bordering public land with about 20ac of timber and roughly 8ac without house barn etc. Opening day had someone parked in my planned setup at 5:30am. I got them out of there and proceeded to have someone within 75yards of my decoy setup at 7-8:30-905 which at that point I gave him options for refund or rebooking. He did not reply. I told him I would keep hunting and if a miracle happened and hunt turned off better he owed me nothing. It didn't and I told him I was hunting VA on Sunday. Back on Monday morning everything seemed better until tractor started plowing at 8am I was completely done at this point. He stated he would give me a refund if landowner gave him his money back. I talked with the landowner and he had not paid them. He also claimed he told me to come at a later date. I have proof I came when he told me to. He blocked me and avoided any further communication. He wants to preach trip insurance. That's for the client having to cancel not when the outfitter can't provide what is promised. You don't buy a truck and the dealer can't provide it and they keep your money anyway! I have proof of all of this and more but I believe this is enough to prove Joe is a liar and coward with bad business practices. If you book with him you have been warned. He deserves 0 stars.
