Was here for a five day muzzleloader hunt first week of January. The leased parcels were very small and you were basically waiting on deer to appear from neighboring property and were hunting the property line. Hunted standing crops but never saw a deer in the crops the entire trip. Had several days below freezing and light snow on the ground. I simply believe there were very few deer in the area. Outfitter was late to the meeting point 3 out of the 5 days and came to the wrong meeting place the first day. Hunting sites are 25-40 minute drives one way from your hotel of which you drive your vehicle each day. I saw 3 does at 160 yards and 7 does at 275 yards the first sit and nothing else the other 4 days of the hunt. Just seemed that it was over hunted. Was never given a single photo of deer in the area but was shown a picture of a deer that was not to be shot. I enjoyed Iowa and will be going back but 1000% not with this outfitter. I’ve hunted Canada to Florida and this was by far my worst experience.
