Hunter Comments

Just finished a black bear hunt, this was the worst hunting experience I've had, and I've been on several fully guided hunts in other parts of Canada. When we arrived, the owner failed to greet us or welcome us, but was quick to let us know what the balance due was. When showing us to our cabin, he said, "Are you guys coming, I have other stuff to do", as if we were a nuisance to his day. Several of the tree stands were in poor condition. Several of us, including other hunters who were in camp at the same time, didn't even see a bear. When the owner asked me if everything was ok, I expressed my displeasure for not seeing any bears. His response was, "Did anyone promise you anything?", in a rude and condescending tone. I agreed, no one had made any promises, but that as a hunter, I expected to at least see game after paying good money for the hunt. The owner then got very upset and told me to leave the camp. I would not recommend this outfitter.

Ho wow. Not bad for a guy that was ask by all of the other hunter in is own cabin to come down or to leave witch he done with his brother that add to drive back home with him because nobody wanted to stay with him in the same cabin or even get in the same truck with him to go hunting. Ho did I mention that his brother got his bear and all of the other guy in that cabin that wanted actually shot there bear. Some people have problem anywhere they go. In this case this person should really get some professional help he scared everybody in his own hunting party but sorry he did not scared any of us with is little badge that he like to talk about and flash around. Anyway I have been doing this for 33 years and have a very good reputation and have a full camp every year with people waiting and hoping to come to our lodge so I don’t think this would be like that if we were doing such a bad job. And by the way you did not finish a bear hunt you were told to leave the camp. I think I should have all the other hunter in your group and in the next cabin around you tell everybody how you are and what kind of problem you have.
