Chris Lavoie is the outfitter, his choice of guides are a testament to his business. My guides name was Saxon James. I’m a life time long bow hunter, and am 75 years old. It would of been impossible for me to hunt bear this year without the expertise of Chris and Saxon. I have a number of physical issues that were only possible to overcome with the excellent service they provided. I had a total of 19 bear encounters, involving 6 different bears over the 5 days I hunted. I passed opportunities until my 5th day. On the 5th day I arrowed a 300# bear with my long bow. Over the years I have hunted with several different outfitters and guides. Pine Acres does it right! They know how to put a hunter and a bear in the same proximity if you pay attention to their years of bear hunting experience. For me they exceeded my expectations. I will go back provided I’m able. Oh, and the other guy I was hunting with who also used along bow killed a big bear. 2 for 2 with long bows are not bad odds!
