I recommend this outfitter

This was my 2nd year in a row with Premier Outfitters on the Late Season muzzleloader Hunt, and I can tell you that it will be a yearly tradition to join these awesome gentleman on hunting trophy white tails. I am 2 for 2 on harvests with Premier Outfitters, and there is plenty of opportunity to take a nice buck and doe.

Meals- While there is no provided meals on this hunt, it is no problem to pack a lunch and bring pre-made meals in advance to the lodge. There is also a couple restaurants in town, and more to choose from.

Hunting- These guys will put you on deer, and know the land like the back of their hands. Trust your guide! The terrain is deer heaven, with rolling hills in thick timber, to cedar thickets divided by an access trail, and cut agriculture fields in a valley tucked back away from any outside pressure. We had 5 guys in camp that shot at bucks, with 3 of them being misses or mishaps. There were 4 other hunters I know of that had shooters in sight, but couldn’t connect due to not being ready, too dark, or not comfortable with the shot. It happens. That’s just part of deer hunting.

I was able to take my buck on the second evening of the hunt with 10 minutes to spare. My decision to shoot this management buck was based on two things. (1) He was good enough for me to take and it’s a heck of a story of how it all came together. (2) The weather for the last day called for 100% chance of rain all day, with it being some of the nastiest weather I’ve hunted in. I was not pressured to shoot this buck, with that decision being my own and after checking with my guide, he gave me the green light to harvest him.

Etc- These folks are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Caleb, Luke, Clint, Thad, and Mark are all noble men who go above and beyond to make sure your hunt and stay are above expectations. One of the guides’ wife made dinner for us one night without being asked or told to. It was well appreciated, and speaks volumes about them!

I can’t wait to come back and hunt with Premier Outfitters in 2020. These guys truly make deer camp memorable, and it is well worth the money!
