Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

Pine Acres runs a very good camp that has rustic cabins with modern amenities (stove, heat, hot water shower, cable TV), I feel very comfortable there. Chris also has a very large hunting unit in the heart of Ontario's western wilderness, if you want to experience the North Woods, this is the place to go. They set up bait where the animals are. During my wolf hunt, we went to the most remote part of his unit so that we would experience wolves that had little experience with people, an hour and thirty minute drive on remote logging roads. Driving these roads in this remote wilderness was an adventure in itself!

They were able to get a bait going that had 10 different wolves visiting the bait and provided trail camera pictures documenting the progress. During the hunt, Joe Turner my guide took very good care of me communicating to me what to expect, provided safe transportation and on time start and pick up dates. He was interested what I experienced and devised strategies for the next day.

This was my second time with them hunting wolves as I came out last winter and although I did not get a wolf, I felt that Joe Turner went beyond what was expected.

I have bear hunted with Pine Acres in the past and had a good hunt, successfully killing a large black bear. Again they kept their end of the bargain on what was expected from the hunt.

I have already booked a bear hunt with them for next Spring and would highly recommend them!

Weather Comments:
Perfect weather for bait hunting wolves 30-40 degrees the first week of October. Did get a snow storm the fifth day but I had already bagged a wolf at the bait location. During the spring hunts, 55-75 degree weather with some rain. Mosquitos during that time, Thermacell will take care of.
